Privacy Policy
This page is a general-purpose template, not legal advice. The FPA board should have this policy reviewed by an attorney for California privacy law (e.g. CCPA/CalOPPA) compliance before relying on it.
What we collect
This site itself doesn't run visitor tracking or analytics. Information we do collect comes from you directly:
- Donations — handled entirely by Givebutter, our third-party donation processor. We don't collect or store your payment details; see Givebutter's own privacy policy for how they handle your information.
- Shop orders — once checkout is live, payment details will be handled by a third-party processor the same way.
- Direct contact — if you email us or reach out through the site, we receive whatever information you choose to share (name, email, message content).
- Admin sign-in — the board-member admin portal uses Google sign-in, restricted to an approved list of board member email addresses. This doesn't apply to regular site visitors.
How we use it
We use the information above only to respond to your questions, process donations or orders (via our third-party processors), and run FPA events and programs. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone beyond the service providers (Givebutter, our hosting provider, and — once live — our merch payment processor) necessary to operate the site.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for parents and guardians, not for direct use by children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through this site, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
To ask what information we hold about you, or to request it be corrected or deleted, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change.
