Fairmont San Juan Capistrano: Our Campus

Fairmont SJC is the newest of Fairmont's Orange County campuses — see our Fairmont History page for the story of the wider Fairmont Schools network it joined.

The Fairmont SJC campus sits on nearly 70 acres at 26333 Oso Road — a site originally developed for Saddleback Valley Christian School (SVCS), an independent, college-preparatory Christian day school founded in 1997 serving Preschool through 12th grade. SVCS's athletic teams competed as the Warriors, with real competitive history — a 2015 CIF Southern Section football championship among them.

SVCS closed as an institution in 2020 when the property was sold. Fairmont announced its expansion into San Juan Capistrano that May, closing escrow on the former SVCS campus and assuming full operations that summer. The new campus became Fairmont's first single-site Preschool–12 program, with capacity for up to 850 students across two educational wings, a gymnasium, a music room, a science lab, and athletic fields. The larger site also enabled Fairmont to launch the Fairmont Athletic Academy, its scholar-athlete program combining elite-level training with Fairmont's academic curriculum.

Fairmont SJC's teams still compete as the Warriors — a name inherited from the campus's earlier chapter, carried forward rather than newly invented. Read more about what that name has come to mean on this campus on our Warrior Backstory page.
